Heat a small saucepan over medium-low heat. Add the butter, apple slices, brown sugar, cinnamon, raisins and water. Cover and cook for about 5 to 10 minutes, or until the apples are soft. Set aside.

French Toast:
Add the eggs, low fat milk, cinnamon and sweetener to a shallow dish and mix with a fork.

Melt the butter in a non-stick pan over medium heat.

Dip one bread slice into the egg mixture and turn it over, until it absorbs the liquid.
4 slices whole-wheat bread
Place the bread slice in the pan and cook for about 2 minutes on each side (depending on the desired doneness and the thickness of the bread slices). Repeat with the other bread slices.
Serve with the the cinnamon apple topping and maple syrup.
Notes
For the sweetener I used maple syrup, but you can pick whatever sweetener you like best.
