This spring white wine sangria with fresh peppermint is light, fruity and delicious! It takes only 5 minutes to prepare a pitcher of this Spanish cocktail for spring or Easter celebrations.
Pour the brandy and wine over top of the fruit. Slowly pour in the can of soda. Stir it all together gently.
Fill wine glasses with ice. Pour the sangria into the wine glasses, making sure to include some of the fruit. Or, let the wine soak into the fruit for a couple of hours in the fridge before serving.
Notes
This sangria can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 2 days, covered.
Fresh fruit is ideal but frozen fruit tends to be cheaper so you can use that if you prefer. The frozen fruit will thaw pretty quickly in the drink.
If you would like to adjust the sweetness, add a touch of agave nectar. It blends well into the beverage. Or, add some more of the soda.
Spanish white wines that are dry and high in acidity, such as Verdejo or Albariño, are great for this sweet sangria. You could also go with a crisp, white wine from another country such as a Sauvignon Blanc from France or a Vermentino from Italy.
