how to make a slushy margarita
: equal parts smoothie, slushy, and adult beverage, this sweet and sour drink is the perfect way for people of legal drinking age to cool off when the weather gets hot.

lime wedge

tablespoons
granulated sugar
For the Margarita
¼
cup
strawberries
clean and sliced
1 ½
ounces
tequila
3 tablespoons
1
ounce
triple sec
2 tablespoons
½
ounce
lime juice
1 tablespoon
2
teaspoons
white sugar
or agave nectar
1
cup
ice cubes
peppermint leaves
to garnish

Instructions
Rub a lime wedge around the rim of a margarita or martini glass.
Spread the sugar out on a flat plate and dip the glass in the sugar to coat the rim.
Add the strawberries, tequila, triple sec, lime juice, sugar and ice cubes into a blender. Blend until smooth.
Pour the mixture into the glass. Garnish with fresh peppermint leaves, if desired. Serve and enjoy!
Notes
If you don't have a margarita glass, a martini glass or even a wine glass work great.
Triple sec is orange-flavored liqueur so you could also use a Grand Marnier or another brand of orange liqueur if needed.
