    About In the Kitch

    Hello everyone,

Join me In the Kitch! I am Joss Dyckson, the creator and editor of In the Kitch, and I will be sharing with you my passion and love for being in the kitchen.

A little bit about me: I am a home cook with a strong interest in culinary arts. When I was 4, I would say that I was going to be a chef one day and my interest in food only grew from there. I am food safety certified and continuously take cooking and baking classes such as a charcuterie class, cake and cupcake decorating, knife skills, pasta making, etc.

I was born and raised on a grain farm with a large garden and orchard which my brothers and I had to help out with 6 days a week. I did a lot of travelling/working abroad, allowing me to experiment with many different foods. Now, I enjoy the small-city life with my husband and 2 little sidekicks (my kids) who love to help out with every meal they can! They also contribute their own recipes here.

One thing you might not know about me is that I used to be a lotion crafter. I turned it into a business developing hair and skin care recipes and selling the products at farmers' markets and local stores. I continue this as a hobby but my real passion is for developing food and drink recipes, which is what I have been doing for over 20 years.

The website: Inthekitch.net is a place to find inspiration for recipes, to hone your culinary skills and to discover great kitchen gadgets that help to make your kitchen endeavors successful.

From my kitchen to yours, discover tasty, homemade recipes with a touch of gourmet flair. I am adventurous with food and passionate about exploring new culinary horizons, which is why you will see a wide variety of recipes here.

For the more technical dishes, I collaborate with professional chefs to bring you expertly crafted, detailed cooking tutorials.
