Place the heavy cream and strawberry syrup in a deep bowl. Whip the mixture with an electric mixer, on medium speed, just until stiff peaks start to form (it should be just like the consistency of whipped cream).
½ cup heavy whipping cream, 3 tablespoons strawberry syrup
Add ice cubes halfway up a large glass. Pour the milk into the glass over the ice.
½ cup whole milk
Spoon the whipped strawberry cream over the milk, using as much or little as you like. Top with candy, strawberries and more strawberry syrup, if desired (totally optional).
Serve immediately! It tastes best if the strawberry whipped cream is stirred into the milk before drinking.
Notes
Warm milk option: It can also be served over warm milk (without ice).
Cool Whip?: You can use Cool Whip (prepared whipped topping) if you want a shortcut, but homemade tastes better.
Extra strawberry: If it isn't strawberry enough for you, combine the cold milk with extra strawberry syrup before topping it with the fluffy whipped cream!
Make it vegan: You can use your favorite plant-based milk for the base of the drink, and you can easily find vegan heavy whipping cream or prepared whipped topping.
