This whipped strawberry milk is kind of like a fancy milkshake, but layered with cold milk, fluffy strawberry whipped cream and strawberry drizzle. It takes only 5 minutes to whip up with 3 ingredients plus optional toppings.

Drink it layered or stirred. Once you combine the layers, it basically tastes like a thick homemade strawberry milk: sweet, creamy, fruity and delicious!

While it's a hit any time of year, this drink is especially great for kids' birthday parties or a spring or summer treat, when you feel like having something to cool you down and fresh strawberries are in season. This is when they are at their sweetest and juiciest!

Make sure you serve it in a clear glass to show those pretty layers and pair it with these easy strawberry cake pops; kids adore them.

🥛 What is Whipped Strawberry Milk?

It is a strawberry drink consisting of cold milk, freshly-whipped, strawberry-flavored whipped cream and optional toppings.

    🍓 Ingredients

Whipped strawberry milk ingredients labeled on brown background.
    • strawberry syrup - You can easily pick up prepared strawberry sauce or make your own. I have a recipe here: ice cream sundae with homemade strawberry sauce.
    • heavy cream - Heavy cream has a high milk fat which allows it to be whipped until thick. It should be at least 35% MF for this recipe because we are diluting it with the syrup--and if it's too low, it won't whip as well.
    • optional toppings - You can also top this strawberry cream milk with sprinkles, candies and more strawberry syrup.

*You can find ingredient amounts in the recipe card.

🥣 How to Make Whipped Strawberry Milk

    👉 Joss' Top Tips

    • It can also be served with warm milk (without the ice).
    • Try piping the strawberry whipped cream into the glass to make it look more fancy!
    • Add freshly sliced strawberries as a garnish. To make a suave Starbucks-style drink, try dehydrated or freeze-dried strawberries.
    • It tastes best if the strawberry whipped cream is stirred into the milk before sipping.
    • If you're using homemade syrup, you need to make sure it's cooled down and chilled before adding it to the cream.

    ❓ Recipe FAQs

Can I use Cool Whip instead?

You can stir the strawberry syrup into Cool Whip if you want a shortcut, but homemade always tastes better.

    Can I use plant-based milk?

Yes! You can use your favorite plant-based milk for the base of the drink, and you can easily find vegan heavy whipping cream or prepared whipped topping.

How do I make the strawberry flavor stronger?

If it isn't strawberry enough for you, combine the cold milk with extra strawberry syrup before topping it with the fluffy whipped cream!
