This kid-created summer mango-pomegranate soda is fruity and refreshing. With ingredients like fresh mangoes, grenadine and fizzy water, this beverage will give you all the summer feels you’ve been waiting for. All it takes is 3 ingredients and a quick pulse in the blender!

As my kids watch me busy in the kitchen on a daily basis, they have become inspired to come up with their own ideas. They have become little foodies with such a curiosity and need to get their hands in the process of recipe development, cooking and of course testing!

It’s really a neat thing to watch and if my kids ask me to help out with the meal, I will always say yes, even if it’s just participating in a small way like mixing or pouring. Simply letting your kids watch you cook is a great way for them to learn as well.

This mango summer soda is perfect for hot summer days when the kids are enjoying the sun, spending time with friends. I also have this mango soup and grilled mango that are ideal for summer!

This simple recipe was created by my 6-year-old son (with a little help from Mom for ingredient amounts of course). Another simple recipe is my Shirley Temple punch.

This is his first creation that we are sharing with all of you. We hope you enjoyed it! He wanted to take his own photo of course! Here it is:

    Joss' Tips

    • Don't worry about chopping the mango into uniform pieces; it's all getting blended together anyway, so a rough chop is fine.
    • Keep the club soda chilled before making this recipe for best results.
    • This beverage is best served immediately but you can refrigerate it for up to 1 day. The soda will go flat by this time. Give it a mix before pouring again.

Ooh, I am going to try this with thawed frozen mangoes; just need to pick up grenadine and pomegranate soda or something similar. We did a whole series of mango recipes. I love making things with my 4 year old. My 2 year old just likes being the taste tester.

Isn't it fun cooking with kids?! They get right into it. I don't blame your 2 year old for wanting to be the taste tester lol. Thanks Cynthia.
