If you've ever had a sudden craving for Totinos pizza rolls, why not try making something similar at home? Introducing these homemade mini pizza bites.

    About These Homemade Pizza Bites

They are popular among the after-school crowd, along with party hosts who need an easy addition to their Super Bowl party food array.

Stuffed with everything you know and love about pizza, such as mozzarella cheese, bacon crumbles, and marinara sauce, you can cook pizza bites in a cake pop maker in a flash.

Use these little delights as after school snacks for your kids and you will be the most popular parent on the block.

The dough is the perfect combination of soft and crispy, thanks to the cake pop machine. This device also makes this recipe a breeze since you don't even have to turn your oven on. Simply pop them in and wait for flavors to cook and meld into a glorious pizza ball.

They are marvelous dipped in some Guinness beer cheese dip, tangy marinara, homemade white BBQ sauce or buttery garlic sauce if you want to get extra fancy.

How to Make Mini Pizza Bites

    Mini pizza ball cut open.
    1. Lightly oil the cake pop maker plates. Mix cheeses, garlic, olive oil, Italian seasoning, bacon, salt and pepper in a bowl.
    2. Roll out the dough on a floured table. Use a pizza cutter to cut out 24 squares. Alternatively, you can use a round cookie cutter to make circles.
    3. Place 1 teaspoon of filling in one of the squares, close it in your hand and roll it to form an even ball. (If it gets sticky, you can add a bit of flour.) Repeat with the remaining squares. Preheat the cake pop maker.
    4. Place the balls in the cake pop maker. Close the lid and cook for 3-5 minutes, or until they are golden brown. If they didn't brown evenly, you can flip them over and cook until golden on both sides.
    5. Repeat with remaining dough balls. Let cool 1 to 2 minutes.
    6. Serve the mini pizza bites with the pizza sauce or marinara!

That's good to hear, Cathy! Thank you. Great idea using the syringe and finer cheese for these little pizza bites.
